The Puerto Rico Center for Microbiome Sciences provides comprehensive support for microbial community and human microbiome research, guiding projects from experimental design and data generation through bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and interpretation.

Our services include research consultation, power calculations, guidance on sequencing and other data generation approaches, and analysis of amplicon sequencing (16S, 18S, and ITS), shotgun metagenomics, integration of 16S with metabolomics, and other molecular assays.

Our expertise spans microbiome research across diverse populations, including taxonomic and functional profiling of large cohorts, qualitative and quantitative microbial ecology, multi-omics integration, meta-analysis, microbial systems biology, and human epidemiology. By integrating microbial community profiles with clinical and environmental data, we help researchers understand microbiota activity and its relationship to human health.
